Anne Klein bright scarf

After searching the longest for a good scarf to take to Istanbul I finally found one this morning in my closet. I had ordered two on Ebay that weren't quite the job. This scarf is very large, colourful and soft. I'm glad I found one that is light enough to take. Most of the other scarves I have are definitely for cooler weather. Ya know those 3 for a tenner pashminas for sale on every corner in London. Yes those, they are a bit thick for a Turkish summer.

Old Navy campshirts

I must have this top! It's from Old Navy and I am hoping it will still in stores and possibly on sale by the time I go home. Maybe I should just order it. The colours are just wonderful!

Collectables

I found this cute clock at a sale a few weeks ago. Doesn't work properly but I like the look of it. I like collecting clocks too but it has to have an antique feel about it.
The blue Limoges trinket box is part of my growing collection of trinket boxes from Limoges. This one is different from the others because it doesn't have the couple on the front. This was my first piece from Paris.
Just last year I began to collect vintage compacts but not sure if I will stick with it or not. I have heard the more powder in the vintage ones the more valuable. I like this one because I had never seen a three tier compact before. It's small and folds into three parts. Cute for a dresser.
I did collect a few pieces of Waterford crystal but of course it's a bit expensive.
It's great to collect a few things but not to over obsess with it unless it's a fab handbag or pair of shoes. After awhile it'll begin to look like dust collected junk.

The Peacock accents

This is such a cute little peacock clip. Well you can wear it on your hair or as a good accent to a jacket. Hopefully I can find another; I found this one at the last minute waiting in the queue at Primark Oxford St.
I love peacock feathers in fashion accessory. At home I have this huge peacock headdress that I can't wait to wear. It's a lovely row of feathers on a headband. The only thing is something like this is a bit "crazy" for some people in Texas of all places. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The earrings I think I found at Target or Forever 21, they're cute but not sure I will wear them together.

Wow! I finally found a maxi dress that I can afford to work with. I forgot my other one at home and wanted another one to go on holiday with. This one is a pink gypsy maxi. It's a bit low cut but I can wear a lighter verst under it but nothing that covers up too much. Even that pink cardi will look great with it.

Hats and headwear

Got this cool Panama style hat a few weeks ago. It's really good now that we're finally getting some sun. Found the fabulous fascinator at a milliners in London. They make such beautiful headgear. British women love hats and fascinators--they do have some sense of style. Americans have never had a sense for big stylish hats and headwear.
Fortnum & Mason, Harrod's and Jenner's in Edinburgh have such lovely hats too bad I can't afford them.

The Adrianna Papell dress and the feathred hat

I just got this dress a few months ago. I really love it. It's the closest thing I will probably ever get to an Herve Leger. These body con bandage dresses are so sexy and cool. They really enhance the figure and look so much better on curvier women than those damn waifs ruining the look.
I have a black one with sheer sleeves that I have had for about 12 years and it still looks as good.

This one is an Adrianna Papell and it came from Nordstrom. I got the hat today. I really love berries for colour. Will probably wear them to Ladies Day at Royal Ascot in June--but that's if I go. It's a big social ocassion over here.

How the days have gone by............

From Winchester, UK: Hmmm this is really different. Will have to see how all this blogging will go. I have never kept a public diary or whatever you care to describe this as.
Another week has gone by. Damn we're almost through this month and it just got started. Soon my time here will be up. Can't believe I have been here for three months already. Yes time does fly when you are having fun.
So far all I have done is studied for this exam, worked on the shop, gone back to Oxfam and shopped.
Today I went out for a bit and came back home. Will be in London for the day in a few weeks. Looking forward to that.
Gotta call Gary and Marie to see what they are up to. Gary, Collette and I need to go out again. It's great to just hang out in Central London on a Friday night. It's been a long time too and my time's running out.
